Daniel Copeland
Drumline Instructor
Daniel Copeland is a freelance percussion educator and performer originally from Des Moines, Iowa. He recently graduated from Iowa State University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology. During his undergraduate years, he performed with several notable Midwest marching organizations including the Iowa State Marching Band, Crossroads Indoor, and the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. For the past three years, Daniel has worked with Crossroads Indoor - serving as battery coordinator and bass technician. He spends his summers as a bass technician for the Madison Scouts: a position he has held since 2021. Aside from his activity in both WGI and DCI circuits, Daniel has served as an instructor and consultant for many high schools and colleges in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Missouri. Daniel currently lives in central Omaha where he applies his scientific background in a clinical setting.
