Get excited for marching season!
Read carefully the information below. Each student is required to complete the appropriate form by June 10, 2024. If you have questions, please talk to or send an email to Mrs. Jenny Schlosser.
Summer uniform for ALL students (instrumentalists and Color Guard):
Green Millard West Band polo*
Khaki shorts for instrumentalists (any brand with a 5" or longer inseam); Black skort or shorts for Color Guard (more information from your coaches soon)**
White or black socks
Tennis shoes
Everyone will wear this uniform for the Premiere Night on July 26. Students will also wear this uniform for the parades, early-season football games, and JV Pit Crew.
*Our current green MW Band polo has been discontinued. All new polos will be a solid green Adidas brand polo with our logo. Students can continue to wear the current polo or purchase the new design.
**Color Guard will be changing from black bike shorts to a black skort (shorts for males).
New this year! Everyone is encouraged to wear ear plugs when we play indoors.
To protect your hearing, percussionists are encouraged to wear ear plugs when playing indoors and outdoors.
You may place an order for the following items. Payment will be due at Band Camp or through ParentVue closer to Band Camp.

Returning students: this is the only time you will be able to order a new polo, wicking shirt, or marching shoes. Please make sure you locate and try on your shirts and shoes to make sure they still fit!
Incoming freshmen: Stop in during the Varsity summer rehearsals on June 3 or 10 from 5:30-7 pm if you need to try on shirts or shoes to determine the correct size. Experienced parents will be available to assist you and answer questions. Try-ons will be held in the uniform room. Please enter the building through the main entrance, head through the Commons down the hallway next to the gym (by the concession stand). It is the room on your right. If these dates don't work for you, please make arrangements with Mrs. Schlosser as soon as possible.
