Dee Ely - Color Guard Instructor/Choreographer
 

DeeDee is an accomplished color guard choreographer and instructor, having
worked with a number of marching band and winter guards over the last 36
years throughout Illinois. Dee was inducted into the Midwest Color Guard
Circuit Hall of Fame this past year.

Dee has instructed at the Bands of America summer camp for 4 years, held
clinics for numerous guards, Secretary of Midwest Color Guard Circuit,
consultant for units in the Midwest Color Guard Circuit, and traveled with
Phantom Regiment Drum Corps for 11 years.

She is a retired dance instructor from Pekin Community High School after 33
years.

Currently Dee is designing and instructing for Millard West High School,
Illinois Valley Central High School, Pekin Community High School, and
Illinois State University. She has been at Millard West the past 9 years.

Tim Gray - Drill Designer
 
Tim Gray

Tim is an accomplished drill designer, having written drills, been a caption
head and program coordinator for many bands and drum corps across the
nation. He studied Music Performance at Illinois State University. During
his time at ISU he served as principal Euphonium in the Wind Symphony.


Tim was a marching member of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps
organization for 8 years. While marching drum corps he won the DCI Solo and
Ensemble competition in 1993 on Baritone. Since marching he has taught many
drum corps including Phantom Regiment, Phantom Legion, Blue Knights, Tar
Heel Sun, and the Bluecoats.

He is a current judge for Winter Guard International, as well as a judging
member for the Michigan and Midwest Winter Guard Circuits. Tim has been
judging bands for over 15 years nationally. Today he continues to teach
private lessons to many brass students. Tim is also a partner in
GrayVisualDesign.com as a drill designer and show coordinator.

Linsey Lisowyj - Color Guard Instructor
 
Linsey, a Millard West graduate - class of 2003 - received a Bachelor of
Science in Design from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2007.

Currently, she works at The Interior Design Firm, IDFomaha.com, where
expression of creativity is encouraged and passion for people and great
design intertwine. Linsey has been sharing her 20+ years of dance and
color guard experience as an instructor for the Millard West Color Guard
since 2005.


During the winter season, Linsey assists the Heartland Winter Arts
Association with judging indoor Winter Guard competitions.

Michal Lisowyj - Marching Instructor
 
Michal graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005 with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. After graduation, he worked at
the University of Nebraska Medical Center doing cancer research focused on
colon cancer. Currently, he works for OPPD at the Fort Calhoun Nuclear
Power Station as a nuclear operator.

Michal's marching experience includes 4 years at Millard West High School, 3
years in college, and 5 years with the Concord Blue Devils Drum and Bugle
Corps. While marching with the Blue Devils he won two DCI World
Championships in 1999 and 2003.

Michal has instructed marching in Nebraska and Kansas for over 10 seasons
now. This season will be Michal's 5th season instructing at Millard West.

Kunal Sualy - Drumline Instructor
 
Kunal, a Millard West graduate, received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
from Creighton University in 2010. He is currently pursuing his medical doctorate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Kunal was a member of the 2003 and 2005 Nebraska All-State Band, as well as
the Nebraska Wesleyan Honor Band. He has taught lessons in the Omaha
community for the past seven years.

After graduating from Millard West in 2006, Kunal founded the Rhythms n' Grooves Percussion Camp for elementary and middle-school students in the Millard area. This season will be Kunal's fourth season at Millard West.
